Number series

This section assesses students' inductive reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and number facility. The test presents a set of numbers, and the student is to select the number that would come next in the series.

    In order to answer a question, the student will need to:
  • Figure out the pattern from the given number series;
  • From the choices, select the one comes next in the series following the same pattern
    Below shows a number of typical patterns and examples
  • Adding a certain number to get the next:
    1.  Figure out the rule used to arrange the numbers, then decide what number should come next in the series.
